Soltesz worked as a sub-consultant to Percontee, Inc. and performed surveying services that included the setting of permanent benchmarks and pad grids for the site. Soltesz’s two-man crew provided a construction stakeout of the site that included recovery of horizontal and vertical control and stakeouts of grading, sanitary sewer, waterline, water vault, storm drain, stormwater management facility and pond, curb and gutter, contour, and sidewalk areas. Soltesz completed a topographic survey for Sulphur Spring Road and as-builts for the stormwater management pond. The crew utilized GPS and robotic instruments to complete these tasks.
While surveying, the Soltesz crew discovered a problem with the design on the sewer line. The identification and quick communication helped the client resolve the issue in a timely manner, avoiding costly measures.
