Jim Soltesz attended the Committee for Montgomery’s Annual Legislative Breakfast on December 15, 2016. Elected officials, government and business representatives, and community leaders throughout Montgomery County and the State of Maryland were in attendance at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. This year’s program featured a discussion with Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett, the presumptive next mayor of the City of Baltimore, Catherine Pugh, who is currently state senator, and Senator-Elect Chris Van Hollen. This is widely recognized as the unofficial kick-off to the General Assembly session.
