Jim Soltesz Confirmed to MEDCO Board of Directors
With over 48 years of civil engineering experience—34 of those dedicated to projects throughout the state of Maryland—Jim brings extensive leadership and deep technical expertise to MEDCO’s mission of fostering statewide economic growth. A licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland and Virginia, Jim is widely recognized as a trusted authority in land use, entitlement processes, and infrastructure planning.
“I look forward to working with MEDCO and Executive Director Tom Sadowski, as well as the Moore Administration, to support Maryland’s economic development, job creation, and business expansion,” said Jim. “I am deeply honored to serve our great state.”
As President and CEO of Soltesz, Jim leads the firm’s strategic direction and operations. His leadership has shaped numerous impactful projects, including Viva White Oak, developments at National Harbor, and other major initiatives throughout Maryland. His forward-thinking approach to stormwater management and environmental site design has enabled complex projects to succeed while meeting strict regulatory and sustainability standards.
Jim has served on several committees addressing transportation, infrastructure financing, and permit streamlining. He is a Life Director of the Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA) and a trusted advisor to both public and private sector leaders.
