Poplar Run is a 308-acre community comprised of 472 single family homes, 185 townhomes, and 116 moderately priced dwelling units. Because of the size of this project and environmental constraints, phasing the design and construction of the site was the best option. Phase 2 of the Poplar Run project contains approximately 10,000 linear feet of roadway, 215 single family lots, and 101 townhouse units. The challenge for not only this phase, but the entire project is for the surveying crew to provide timely services and stay ahead of the contractor for this aggressive project schedule.
The Soltesz Solution
Soltesz performed construction stakeout for all grading, utilities, pavement, and stormwater management. Additionally, the firm prepared record drawings to assist the client in getting off bond for the infrastructure. To stay ahead of construction, Soltesz continuously communicated with the client to ensure timely stakeout services were provided. The surveying crews utilized both GPS and Robotic Survey Instruments in order to meet the deadlines.
