Soltesz is providing entitlement, engineering, landscape, and surveying services for the new multi-million dollar health care campus designed as a replacement to the aging Cheverly hospital site. The hospital will be a 700,000 square-foot healthcare campus including an Ambulatory Care Center and supporting infrastructure. Soltesz was initially hand-picked by the County as well and the project management team to assist in the site selection process from the variety of interested sites. This process was highly analytical and required considerable finesse when dealing with competing property owners.
This site analysis process entailed the review of sites for infrastructure requirements, traffic capacity, location and ease of access, flood concerns, and use considerations. Upon thorough review of a variety of sites, Soltesz’s efforts resulted in the selection of the Largo Town Center, centrally located within the County. Adjacent to a metro station, the site is surrounded by county roads and retail shopping while still being proximate to the Capital Beltway.
Soltesz is providing full service site/civil engineering including site plan and entitlement processing, stormwater management control, road improvements, and permits. The project requires Soltesz to work with multiple architectural firms all of which enjoy separate specialties in order to make this project a reality.
