Potomac Overlook at National Harbor

Potomac Overlook is a multi-family residential property is located at National Harbor; a mixed-use community located on over 500 acres overlooking the Potomac River. When initially developing this site, many challenges surfaced because of the property’s waterfront location. However, the main challenge in adding the residential component was how to proceed with adding it to an already approved entitlement plan that never envisioned this feature from the beginning.

Soltesz supported an application to upgrade the residential component as a revision to the existing allowances. Through calculations of the traffic density and proving that adequate public facilities would not be reduced below the previously approved level, this application was approved. In addition, quality architecture was proposed and demonstrated to be an asset to Prince George’s County and would provide financial returns.
