Stage Coach Crossing

This residential development project, located in historic La Plata within the county seat of Charles County, includes single family detached, townhouses, and cottages which incorporates a community center, swimming pool, and extensive trail systems. The master planned community has been designed with a focus of “Big Life in a Small Town.” Soltesz is actively providing planning, surveying, and civil engineering services for this project.The development of approximately 600 residences is being designed as a walkable community which complements pristine environmental resources. The project has been designed to limit the development impact to environmental features such as wetlands, floodplain, streams, steep slopes, and erodible soils. Through the use of innovative design of streetscapes, storm water management, and open space amenities, Soltesz is aesthetically blending this prestigious residential community into the farmland character of its surroundings. The site has access from U.S. Route 301 and Old Stagecoach Road.Included within the overall project is the design and construction of two sanitary sewer pumping stations and several miles of off-site sanitary sewer force main. These planned improvements are being coordinated with the Town of La Plata to provide the necessary sanitary sewer service for the entire southwest quadrant of the Town limits.
