Together Soltesz is making an impact on some of the most important issues facing our communities. We donated $4,000 in total to Three Oaks Center, Angel's Watch Regional Shelter, Community Ministry of Prince George's County, and The Dwelling Place this quarter. The money we have contributed is saving lives and bringing hope to people in need. Soltesz hosts Stormwater Management Summit at headquarters

Soltesz, Inc. conducted a company-wide state-of-the-art Stormwater Management Summit at its headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, on December 6, 2016. The session featured one of the nation’s most renowned experts in stormwater management, Neil Weinstein, President of Low Impact Development, a nationally known non-profit company.Soltesz’s staff was lectured on the newest innovations in water quality in this rapidly expanding industry. Topics included a review of the current national, state, and local government regulations, the most current technology, applications of BMPs in urban settings and mixed use projects, effective nutrient removal techniques, and many other innovations.Soltesz is the leading practitioner in the region on stormwater management and water quality. Soltesz Secures a Major PEPCO Project in the District

Soltesz takes on design and surveying project for PEPCO in the District

Soltesz secured a major project with PEPCO recently. As part of our commitment to PEPCO, we are providing Civil Design and Surveying services for the installation of two new underground 230kV transmission feeders from Harvard Substation #13 to Champlain Substation #25. These upgrades will enhance reliability for customers in Ward 1 in the District of Columbia.Construction on this 1.3 mile endeavor started in October and is set to be completed in September 2017. Roxana Roman is leading this effort, along with Tom Chicca and Patrick Fitgerald. Congratulations to the team who worked hard to make this happen!

Successful New Hire Luncheon

Welcome, new team members!

Soltesz recently resumed the New Hire Luncheon on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. The Corporate office in Rockville was brimming with over 20 new employees. The goal was for new employees to meet each other from different offices, interact on company goals, and learn a little more about the roles the employees in Corporate play. Jim Soltesz took the time to engage our new team members and discuss present and future projects. It is more than giving an employee a computer, Soltesz wants new employees to be truly introduced to our mission and values, and start building relationships on day one.

Soltesz is Part of a Public-Private Partnership that is "First of Its Kind"

Clean Water Partnership

Soltesz is honored to be part of a public-private partnership that is "first of its kind." The Prince George's County and Corvias Solutions Public-Private Partnership (P3), also called the Clean Water Partnership, is an agreement between County government and the private sector to retrofit up to 4,000 acres of impervious surfaces using green infrastructure. Soltesz Attends Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Soltesz staff attends ribbon cutting ceremony in Gaithersburg

Members of Soltesz staff who participated in the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Academy project attended the recent ribbon cutting ceremony at the new facility in Gaithersburg.The new Public Safety Training Academy (PSTA) is located at 8751 Snouffer School Road in Gaithersburg and is part of the Montgomery County Multi Agency Service Park (MASP). The opening of the PSTA marks the completion of the eighth project in Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett's Smart Growth Initiative (SGI).The new PSTA will house the specialized training programs for all new law enforcement officers hired by Montgomery County's Department of Police and Office of the Sheriff, Rockville City Police, Gaithersburg Police, Takoma Park Policy, Chevy Chase Village, Maryland-National Park Police, Montgomery County and the Office of the Fire Marshall. The Montgomery County Police Canine Unit will also train at the campus.
