Soltesz held its annual Toys for Tots luncheon on December 12, 2017 with a huge turnout for donations. The toys collected will be able to fulfill the holiday dreams of children, who would otherwise be overlooked. Every year, Soltesz hosts a Holiday Card Art Contest with the students at Loiederman Middle School in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Soltesz Announces Promotion and Retirement

Soltesz is very pleased to announce that Ed Carroll, P.E. has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the Southern Maryland operations.

Most recently, Ed served as Vice President and Director of Environmental Engineering for Soltesz. His leadership skills and brilliant delivery of client services have been outstanding, which led to his promotion to Vice President in 2011. Ed has been with the firm since 2003 and has 30 years of professional experience in the field of civil engineering and land use planning in Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary’s counties. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban Planning from Frostburg State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Maryland. Ed’s project experience is broad based over a wide range of civil engineering projects including industrial, commercial, residential, retail, survey, and municipal land development projects of varying complexity and sizes.As you are aware, David Cooksey has retired from the firm after 21 years serving as an Officer of the company. He has had a tremendous career in building the Southern Maryland operations, and we wish him all the best. Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Largo Hospital
December 5, 2017
A groundbreaking on November 30, 2017 for a $543 million new hospital in Largo was attended by Maryland and Prince George’s County officials.

The Regional Medical Center will be located at Largo Town Center. It will be directly accessible from the Capital Beltway's (I-495) Arena Drive Exit 15.Soltesz is honored to be performing site civil services for this new state-of-the-art Regional Medical Center that is affiliated with the University of Maryland Medical System. It will be the first teaching hospital in Southern Maryland that will include a 600,000 SF facility with an 11-story main patient care building, 205 private inpatient rooms, and eight operating rooms. Groundbreaking Ceremony for Kaiser Permanente

Urban Atlantic and Kaiser Permanente is getting closer to its goal to bring about 850 employees to Prince George's County.

A groundbreaking celebration for the new 200,000 square foot facility at the New Carrollton Metro Station commenced on October 4, 2017. New Carrollton has grown immensely over the past five years. The 49-acre mixed-use development is planned to include 1.3M square feet of residential space, 1.1M square feet of office space, 150K square feet of retail space, and a hotel.The Kaiser Permanente Committee and Urban Atlantic praised Soltesz for its excellent work.
